
I think this was March 2002. It was taken standing on a wood bridge, and looking up stream of a small swampy creek. This one shows an unexpected effect entirely. The point was that it was doing some industrial strength snowing at the time. It looked like it was getting dark out, and visibility was maybe 200 feet. Somehow, the camera was not hindered by such issues, and failed to give the same effect. However, the white spots of captured snowflakes coming down is an interesting look. Actually, if this is when I remember it to be, this was about the best storm all winter. 2001/2002 was rather a flop in terms of cold and snow in Michigan. Up until March or so, I did not think I was even going to be able to snowshoe much.
