Swamp northwest of Paradise, Michigan. Fairly easily traversed on snowshoes by winter, but the one time I tried it in the summer I almost got lost in the bottomless goo in places. A few small streams run through here as well, draining the swamp. After 3 or so feet of snow build up, they usually bridge over with snow and can just be walked over in snowshoes with no notice. Before that, you have to find a narrow spot to hop across them. Typical of peat bog streams, they are a couple feet wide, but in places many feet deep. Poking in them with a pole seems to indicate some spots that run at least 6 feet deep. Also to consider is that the bottom is probably soupy mud which is in turn of indefinite depth.
